FOOD/HEALTH/ MIGRATION
Introduction
The Lehman Lab for Social Analysis allows for students to develop original research that is conscious of the Bronx communities which it is attempting to service. Interdisciplinary research methods are focus upon themes of migration, health and food in the Bronx. Using Kingsbridge Heights / Bedford Park as a starting point, I built a health survey meant to balance the perspectives of resident with qualitative data. Through the search to discover whether those who migrate to the area face conditions which are relatively detrimental to health, residents shared their insights. These perspectives were instrumental in forming analysis and contributed to a growing discourse which bridges socioeconomic conditions and health.
